Daddy’s New Family is about a child whose parents have divorced and a new family introduced when a parent re-marries. It deals with the emotions and feelings that are a naturally felt in these situations. The book is designed to help children and to understand how they feel.
Daddy’s New Family was written by Leanne with the help of her children, Brooke and Jake doing the drawings.

“These books contain the essence of healing for any child dealing with grief and loss. Children can grow through painful experiences into safe, secure, loving individuals who can withstand the windstorms of life.
Leanne’s words normalise the grief process and allow the child to let go of unresolved guilt around the loss to regain the innocence of childhood. I believe these books to be essential reading for children’s emotional wellbeing when faced with life’s painful losses.”
~ Diedre Hanna, Hopewell Hospice and Paradise Kids (Grief Loss and Illness Support Programs).
