This book is a vital resource for the student of complementary therapies and a wake-up call for all of us.

Radiant Healing is a richly packed compendium of information covering every aspect of the subtle energies of Man. With many illustrations and diagrams, it is a fascinating, easy-to-read account of how our bodies and our world work, and how our etheric, astral and mental bodies channel cosmic and earth energies through our meridians and chakras. Our electromagnetic spiritual/physical reality, our ‘body, mind and spirit’ is traced to the ageless wisdom which has existed since prehistoric times.

The history of healing is told from the use of herbs, to the development of homeopathy, Radionics, vibrational healing and healing at a distance. The reader is shown how to use a pendulum to develop intuition, and to discover what might be wrong in the body, its energy fields or its environment and to facilitate healing remedies to correct this. Charts for every purpose are included.

The various systems of the body are discussed, along with the diseases that afflict them and the recommended treatments. For the lay reader or the serious student of energetic healing, this book is bursting with valuable information on the origin of diseases, healing diets, correct breathing and posture, environmental hazards and more.

An A to Z of resources provides details on subjects from acupuncture to zone therapy, from copper coils to magnetotherapy and meditation. There are many useful references in the text to books and websites where further information can be found and a large index makes the 576 page book easy to manage.

Text Box: ISABEL BELLAMY was born in England in 1910. She studied Physiotherapy at St. Thomas’ Hospital, London, learning the diet and breathing exercises that would play an important part in her later healing methods. Studies on electricity (Tesla’s experiments) gave her invaluable insights into the practical application of radiant  energy. She graduated as a Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists, (her subjects included Massage and Medical Gymnastics, Medical Electricity, Light and Electro-Therapy) after which she taught at St. Thomas’ for a year.

After spending the war years in Trinidad and a further period in England, Isabel, her husband and 3 young children came to Australia. She worked as a Physiotherapist at the Rudolf Steiner curative home at Inala before moving to Queensland to help establish the Raphael Healing Research Foundation.  She finally came to Wentworth Falls in the Blue Mountains outside Sydney in 1983 where she set up the ‘Living Wholeness’ group to help people to live in health and harmony.

Isabel retired from her active work at the age of 88, and in March 2004 she left her body peacefully having lived for 94 years.

Isabel was a member of The British Society of Dowsers, The Theosophical Society and The Anthroposophical Society. She lectured at various centres around the world, including Scotland’s Findhorn University of Light. She studied the teachings of Krishnamurti, and became proficient in Raja Yoga. Ramana Maharshi was her guiding light.

Isabel’s genius as a healer lay not only in her ability to draw together useful material such as Homeopathic and Bach flower remedies, gemstones and crystals, geometric shapes, sounds and colours, and use them therapeutically, but in her ability to clarify and describe effective, safe and simple ways to administer these therapies. Her teachings are informed as much by her anatomical and medical knowledge and her years practising Physiotherapy, as by her wide reading and exposure to esoteric teachings.

Text Box: DONALD MACLEAN was born in Scotland during the Second World War. After school he emigrated to Australia in search of adventure, working as a ‘jackeroo’ on a sheep station, a truck-driver, ship’s steward, insurance salesman and ski instructor. In 1981 he bought a house in the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney, where he lives to this day. Isabel Bellamy became his next-door neighbour in 1983.

Artistic, and widely read, Donald contributed to alternative magazines and created anti-war and save-the-whale designs, which he produced on T-shirts. He rejected organized religion becoming interested instead in the kind of religious experiences described by mystics through the ages and more contemporary writers such as Aldous Huxley and Timothy Leary. He immersed himself in esoteric Tibetan Buddhist writings, and became a Rosicrucian for a while, interests remarkably similar to Isabel’s.

Using his graphics arts skills, Donald redrew the dowsing charts and teaching diagrams which Isabel used in her work with patients, and in the seminars she gave. By 1999 Donald was an established desktop publisher, and Isabel asked him to produce her writings for publication.
