Heidi Woodman’s creative journey began as a ceramic artist. Inspired by the art of the Maya, she quickly gained an admiration for the beauty of spirit woven into the Mayan culture. The initial sculpting of the ceramic glyphs and subsequent creation of The Mayan Key Oracle Cards is something that flowed very easily for Heidi. Her personal gift to us all, infused with an essence and energy both ancient and new, is the key to unlock many doors.
“My creative journey began by following intuition and inspiration in the face of various limiting considerations and challenges that lay in my path. With the decision to finish my career as a real estate agent and embark on one as full time ceramic artist came an expansive journey that has led to places I could not have imagined. Initially inspired by the simplicity, symmetry and beauty of form inherent in the art of the Maya, I soon found myself on a path that lead to admiration of the beauty of spirit woven into the Mayan culture, as may be experienced through the insightful nature of the Mayan Calendar.
“There are indeed many layers to the workings of the Calendar so it is easy to get lost in the complexity of it and miss the most important message ... to evolve. And so, with the creation of the Mayan Key Oracle Cards, it is my intention to share these insights with you in a way that is easy to digest, so you may find your own answers and arrive at a better understanding, to help bring about life change where it is desired ... and ultimately to restore love.
