Secondly, because the author doesn't wish to influence your perceptions of the lead character Sam as might be the case if the writer's gender and particulars are known, and thirdly, because the author's parents don't yet know the full extent of their child's spiritual path and it might be a bit of a shock for two staunch and, unfortunately rather elderly, Anglicans with heart conditions!

A lifetime's fascination and research into the supernatural, as well as real life experiences such as those outlined in Almost True, has made a profound effect on this author.

A consummate musician, university graduate, performer, teacher, public servant, hopeful writer and occult investigator, self-proclaimed vampire G. T, along with partner, and wiccan, R.A as well as their son Ben - who thinks his parents are weird - all live in Brisbane, Queensland Australia.

As a family, they are obsessed with musical theatre, Science Fiction and Crime Dramas, have a love/hate relationship with Cartoon Network and most emphatically have no desire to own a cat.
