Regarded as one of the best books ever written on Gestalt Therapy, the reader is challenged to face his responsibilities in a practical and pro-active manner. Too many books today are too idealistic in their approach to life but certainly this one is not.
The experiments are simply explained and easy to relate to. Risking Being Alive is user friendly with no quick fix here, or false promises, but certainly the effort put in will produce the desired outcomes.

Until reading Risking Being Alive, I had no knowledge of Gestalt Therapy. But the title and its subtitle - The Wisdom of NOW - had far too much appeal not to explore further. And what an adventure it turned out to be - one that has continued since the first page.
Practical, do-able, sensible and grounded steps to enable anyone who wants to, to become present in each moment and to be able to check that awareness. And from my own recent experiences, that awareness enables physical, emotional and intellectual truths about myself to become clear which then allow my decisions to be based on solid ground - not on vague, airy-fairy, wishful thinking.
This book is an excellent guide for everybody. The only qualification is that one recognises that "this moment is all there is" and wishes to make the absolute most of it.
